Last weekend I decided to go for a run at Bronte Park as it was a beautiful morning. A blue sky, the sun rising and shining and cool fresh air. I hadn’t been for a run there since last fall so I was really looking forward to it. When I went to check in the park, I was totally shocked by the amount they were charging to get in for the day(especially since I only planned on going for a 40-50 minute run). The Price of admission was $16.00 which seemed like a lot to pay for less than an hour at a public park!
In any event, I decided since it was such a nice day and so long since I had been there that I would pay the $16.00 and go for my run.
As I ran through the forests, saw the sun shining through the trees, enjoying my LL moments (“love life moments”) I soon realized that it was well worth the price of admission. When you consider that a movie and other sources of entertainment would be a similar price, I think I got a real bargain. Enjoying life, getting exercise, feeling the warmth of the sun, feeling the nice cool air coming in and out of my lungs, seeing the streams…….. I think I was the one that got the bargain!
The cost was well worth the price of admission! I had a great run and also did something healthy for myself…both physically and mentally.
Have a great healthy day, Kev
